OTT- Re-sign goalie Mike Brodeur to a 1-year 2 way contract
NYR- Signed Mats Zuccarello Aasen out of MODO of the Swedish Elite League. Aasen lead the league in scoring and was the MVP last year. He played for Norway in the Olympics and recent WHC
NYR- Acquired D, Jyri Niemi from the Islanders for a 6th ound pick in this year's draft. First trade between the two teams since 1972.
COL- Adam Foote signs a 1-year deal
TOR- Patrick Marleau may be targetted by the Leafs. His services will cost in the $7.5 million range.
ANA- Bobby Ryan's agent and management have started negotiating and expect Ryan to be signed before July 1st when he becomes a RFA.
ATL- Management has met with Colby Armstrongs agent and the two sides are far apart.
MTL- Management said they will not lose Carey Price and Jaro Halak through offer sheets. The Habs expect both to be key parts of the team and want them both back. Halak has arbitration rights this year and that could complicate things as Habs are tight on cap space with the holes they will need to fill. Habs will need to go the trade route or buyout contracts to get everyone signed such as Plekanec, Halak, Markov and such role players as Tom Pyatt and Dominic Moore.

HC- Hockey fans raised $94,000 USD by purchasing worn Olympic jerseys of Team Canada players. The money went to he "Hockey for Haiti" relief fund. The auction sold 23 jerseys from the game against Germany. Crosby jersey was sold for $37,100, Toews went for $7,600 and numerous jerseys went for around $2000.
