VAN- Canucks will need to look at what type of contract to give Mason Raymond. With Michael Grabner being the same type of player for much cheaper, Raymond could be an option to get packaged together in a trade for a top 4 defenseman. Comparables to Raymond around the league are getting $2.5-3 million.
ATL- Pavel Kubina and Maxim Afinogenov have both been contacted to get re-signed.
BUF-GM Darcy Regier has not talked to pending free agents Henrik Tallinder and Toni Lydman. These discussions will begin once they figure out their teams budget for next season.

NHL/KHL- Signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
IIHF- President Rene Fasel apologizes for critizing Sidney Crosby for declining invitation to WHC.

CHL- Calgary and host Brandon will play tonight in the Semi-Final of the Memorial Cup tournament with the winner taking on the undefeated Windsor Spitfires in Sundays Championship Game. Brandon Kozun of the Calgary Hitmen, the point leader in the regular season and playoffs in the WHL, will suit up tonight.
