WAS- Capitals sign Nicklas Backstrom to a 10-year deal worth between $65-67 million
CHI- Will have a busy off season with $57 million committed to next season and Niemi, Ladd, Eager and Hjalmarsson all RFAs. They will look to get rid of salary by dumping Christobal Huet' $5.625 million salary or that of Brian Campbells, $7.14 million.
COL- Will have enough cap space after signing its key players to go after a few big names come July 1st.
TBL- Steve Yzerman has turned down the job offer for being the GM of the Bolts. Former Wild GM Doug Risebrough and TSNs Pierre McGuire are still in the running.
ANA- Ducks have $18 million available to spend, that will including signing Saku Koivu, Bobby Ryan, and also Scott Niedermeyer and Teemu Selanne if they choose to return.
